Lesson 12 - Display Lists in WebGL

 

Lesson 12 of NeHe is about how to use display lists, which are a method for caching the construction of complex objects in OpenGL 1.x. WebGL and GL-ES implictly create caches of all the high level stuctures since the vertices are passed to the GPU cached in vertex buffer objects (VBO) from which they are rendered via shaders running on the GPU. So there is no point to lesson 12 in the world of WebGL. So let's just move on folks, nothing to see here...
